OK, let's try some psychological parlor games—---this is particularly used in the realm of organizational psych/ human resources. I want you all to close your eyes (seriously, do it after you read this paragraph lest you don't experience the effect---plus, you can't read the instructions). Where was I....oh yes....close your eyes and first imagine a circle----a few seconds later----imagine a square.....a few seconds later imagine a triangle......and a few seconds later imagine a squiggly line. You might want to try this on someone else first as it is best to give verbal cues to the participant as to the unfolding of the shapes to be visualized.
Now pick your favorite shape to remain as you remove the other shapes out of your imagined visual. Write down (if you must) the chosen shape to remain last, then write down the 2nd remaining shape. The remaining shape may not necessarily be your favorite shape, it is just the shape that you chose out of either comfort or otherwise. Tomorrow I will explain the exercise----and I would appreciate any feedback as to whether you are participating, or if your are very familiar with the protocol. It would be nice if you even stated what your two shape choices were---in the order of which you chose, that is the Primary and Secondary shape. This demonstration is grounded in research, and will surprise many. Don't be too dismissive, it may help the versatile interrogation professional.
NOW CLOSE YOUR EYES AND HAVE SOMEONE NAME THE SHAPES ONE BY ONE FOR YOU TO VISUALIZE , THEN REMOVE THE SHAPES YOU DON'T LIKE----TO REVEAL YOUR CHOSEN SHAPE AND YOUR SECOND FAVORITE.
I'll explain tomorrow after several have done the above.
Warning; If you don't do the above prescribed action, this will not be demonstrable after I write the keys tomorrow to explain the implications. Ya can't do the experiment on yourself successfully without blindness to the key---lest the key contaminate your visualizations with prejudice.
Indulge me here people.
